It is five kilometers south of Karangasem. The last king of Karangasem completed the palace in 1921, but it has been deteriorating for some time and was extensively damaged by an earthquake in 1979.Taman Ujung is an extensive, picturesque and crumbling ruin of a once-grand water palace complex. You can wander around the remnants of the main pool, admire the views from the pavilion higher up the hill above the rice fields. |

Built in 1948,the water palace was damaged by eruption of Mount Agung in 1963 and again during the political events that rocked Indonesia two years later,but by little comes to be restored.The palace has several swimming pools and ornamental ponds,which serve as a fascinating reminder of the old days of the Balinese rajahs.Do not forget your swim outfit if you want to swim in the pool.Spend your time with your loved ones enjoy a very fantastic and superb view from the local restaurant here. |

Tenganan village is located in the eastern part of Candidasa.Tenganan is a village of Bali Aga people,descendants of the original Balinese who inhabited Bali before the Majapahit arrival.The village is surrounded by a wall,and consists basically of two rows of identical houses stretching up the gentle slope of the hill.The Bali Aga are reputed to be exceptionally conservative and resistant to change.The most striking feature of Tenganan village,however,is its exceptional neatness,with the hills providing a beautiful backdrop. |
