It's about 35 kms to the north direction of Denpasar City. This area is classified as a virgin area for tourism development in Bali, especially in Badung regency. All are natural, and at this condition this area promises another sense of eco-tourism in the modern days.

   is in Tampaksiring district that exists from Ubud to the north in 10km.It is not large so much, however, it is a quiet temple to which surroundings were enclosed by the forest. There is a fountain where the clear water that is called "Holy fountain" begins to spring in the temple.
Bad king Maya Denawa was defeated at the army of Dewa Indra because of the fight that happened in Tampaksiring village. Then, bad king Maya Denawa ran away to Subatu village on the west side in Tampaksiring village. All villagers were frighteningly because of the appearance of Bad king Maya Denawa, and ran away from the village at that time. God Vishnu of water saw confusion of people on Sebatu village. People who ran away from this village were neither the eaten one nor the drinking water, and were embarrassed very much. Then, Vishnu gave the spring water for them. And, the souls including Vishnu challenged Maya Denawa to a fight. The bad king Maya Denawa to whom the forces had already failed was driven to Petanu river, and killed. The villagers built a small shrine in the place in a present temple for savior Vishnu. It is said that this is a starting point of Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu.

   It is a rich farming village where they grow rice, and other tropical farms such as corn, sweet potatoes, clove, vanilla, etc. when you go or drive by the village you will easily see the sign of a waterfall and it leads you to drive in through the rich farming area to a huge parking lot. You then have to walk down to the bottom of the river to see the giant waterfall. There are concrete steps down to the bottom but it is quit steep. You have to be sure that you are in fit condition to walk to the bottom of the valley. It is a very lush river valley with its typical of rain forest and sometime wild monkeys can be seen around the forest. The air is very fresh and much cooler up here which is really refreshing. At the bottom of the river is even much cooler and there are a number of small waterfalls that’s from the natural spring along the river. You have to notice that it is a little slippery sometime because of the green moss that grows along the path ways. It is much better to go with a good walking shoe.
